Summer Program Intern.

Description: Peer Health Exchange (PHE) gives teenagers the knowledge and skills they need to make healthy decisions. We do this by training college students to teach a comprehensive health curriculum in public high schools that lack health education. The PHE Summer Program Intern will assist PHE staff with researching and revising PHE Teen Health Resources Cards, updating the PHE Curriculum, preparing program materials, compiling program evaluation data, and completing other program research and administrative tasks.
This is an unpaid position requiring a commitment of at least ten hours per week. Candidates are encouraged to seek outside funding to support their work at PHE.

Responsibilities
The PHE Summer Program Intern will:

• Research and revise the Teen Health Resource Cards, which are distributed to all PHE Partner High School students and list websites, hotlines, and local health centers where teens can find more information about the health topics PHE addresses and/or health services.
• Help update the PHE Curriculum.
• Help prepare program materials for volunteer and high school recruitment and training.
• Help compile data from end-of-year Program Evaluations completed by PHE partner high school students and staff and PHE college student volunteers.
• Assist PHE staff with program research and administrative tasks.

Qualifications
Peer Health Exchange is looking for someone who:

• Has a Bachelors degree or further degree.
• Has excellent research, writing, and editing skills and attention to detail.
• Has strong interpersonal skills.
• Is comfortable traveling by public transportation in New York, Chicago, or the Bay Area.
• The Chicago intern must have his/her own laptop computer.
