Peer Health Exchange Boston launched its operations in 2006, with significant support from the GreenLight Fund, which identifies innovative, high-performing nonprofits in cities and supports their successful expansion into the local community. For over fifteen years, Peer Health Exchange Boston has served more than 383,000 high school students and trained over 4,300 volunteer health educators.

Today, we serve thousands of young people across Greater Boston in communities like Lynn, Malden, Chelsea, Sommerville, and Boston-proper.

In our last full-year of programming:

    • 97 percent of students said they planned to use something they learned from our workshops to make a healthy decision in the future
    • 89 percent said our Health Educators gave them information about health that they did not already know
