How Partnership Works
We work to advance health equity by partnering with local school districts serving predominantly Black and Latinx students. We partner with colleges and universities to support implementation and to maximize our support of Black and Latinx college students as well.
Peer Health Exchange college chapters can look like…
- Student run organizations
- Community outreach/service programs
- Service scholar programs (such as Bonner Programs or Med-Direct)
- Leadership programs associated with an Academic Department or a Campus Center such as the Health Center and or Multicultural Center
Peer Health Exchange works in collaboration with College Staff and Students to learn how we can be a part of campus and community culture. Also, we work to ensure that we can support student’s ability to be a part of our program through providing work study, internship and fieldwork as potential supports for some students within Peer Health Exchange.
We aim to serve 250-400 ninth graders in year 1 with 12-20 health educators, increasing in growth and impact each year after.
