selfsea, powered by Peer Health Exchange, provides young folks with support, resources, and stories from young adults who’ve been there. We believe self-care is community care. Our app was designed together with young people as a safe digital place where they can see themselves reflected within a supportive and inclusive community that prioritizes their identity and experiences about mental health, sexual health, and beyond.

Community Health Advocacy Groups in the Midwest (Chicago), Northeast (New York and Boston) and California (Los Angeles, Bay Area) will meet to identify and address community health needs. This is a paid opportunity where you can develop relationship building, leadership, project management and organizational skills. Interested in collaborating with young people to design a development program? Then join our Youth Advisory Design Team! We’re excited to collaborate with high school students to evaluate and design our youth engagement work to be sure it’s having a positive impact on you and your peers! You’ll design surveys, interactive activities, and lead group discussions to explore what excites and what bores your fellow Youth Advisors about this development program. Then you’ll use that input inform future versions of our summer program experience! You’ll flex or develop skills in: research and evaluation, program design, leadership, and communication. No prior experience is needed. Desired candidates are passionate about youth voice and learning from your peers and representing youth perspectives!
Are you a high schooler interested in brand creation, narrative storytelling and all things social media? If you answered yes, then our Marketing & Communications Team is excited to work with you to develop amazing content to uplift PHE and make a positive difference in the lives of young people! Flex your skills in content creation and learn marketing best practices. We've also got opportunities for youth to be featured in media interviews! Imagine your name in print for a major magazine or your favorite lifestyle publication -refinery29anyone? PHE provides media training for all interviews as well as support in creating external bios,original quotes and professional photos that you can use here and beyond.

It's a paid experience where you'll get the inside scoop on new features for our products, like selfsea, help us make important decisions such as what the products and features look like, become a leading voice in determining what digital products we offer, and help ensure that identity-affirming resources are accessible to all young people. We particularly encourage those who identify as BIPOC, Latinx, and/or LGBTQ+ to join the team.
Be part of an innovative group of young people creating digital health solutions within the tech space.
