Introducing

At Selfsea, we envision a world where every young person—regardless of their identity, background, or experience—has access to safe, trusted, and affirming support for their mental and sexual health.

We are working to reach two million young people with health resources online. Help us get there.

a platform made by, for, and with young people

We believe youth should never have to navigate life’s toughest moments alone and don’t always feel like the adults around them understand. That’s why we’re building a digital space, designed with young people and for young people—a place where shared experiences build resilience, community fosters healing, and information becomes empowerment.

meet the new selfsea

selfsea is poised to become the leading digital platform for youth-driven mental and sexual health support. We are transforming how care is accessed, how trust is built, and how healing begins.

personalized, gamified learning experiences
micro-communities rooted in shared identity and lived experience
resources for parents and caregivers
real-time anonymous insights

We exist to empower young people with the tools, voices, and communities they need to thrive. By meeting youth where they are—online, mobile-first, and socially connected—we close the gap between the support they need and the support they receive.

We are redefining prevention, equity, and access in mental health—not with top-down solutions, but with platforms co-created by the very people they aim to serve.

“This helps us as young people feel like we're not alone, and that there are people there to support us and understand what we're going through,”'

— Treasure Joiner, former Youth Advisory Board Member

safety by design

We care deeply about ensuring that selfsea is a safe space for young people, and have worked with our youth advisors, mental health, and legal experts since the early days of building the app that young people envisioned to ensure that it meets the highest standards for safety.

As a not-for-profit organization, we are not legally required to comply with COPPA, but we choose to as best-practice. We also integrate child rights into our approach and products by aligning with Designing for Children’s Rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
